TOWING TRAILER MOUNTED MEWP

   Trailer mounted Mobile Elevating Work Platforms offer the

   operator greater flexibility to carry out elevated work over

   various sites. However, drivers/operators should be aware

   of the governing regulations on drivers' hours/tachographs.

   If the vehicle & trailer combination exceeds 3.5 tonnes and

   the driver is delivering the MEWP for others to operate, it

   is likely the EU rules apply. Should the operator be towing

   the MEWP for use in their own work, it is likely they will

   be exempt EU rules & fall into scope of GB domestic rules.
